PINK GmbH Thermosysteme produces vacuum soldering systems, low-pressure plasma systems, sintering systems and systems for drying and process technology at its Bestenheid site in Wertheim/Main.
PINK offers innovative and trusted plasma systems according to customer requirements and supplies a global clientele in sectors such as automotive, semiconductors, electronics, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. PINK's various process gases and excitation frequencies open up a broad spectrum of possible plasma effects. The determination of suitable process parameters is then the subject of qualified process development, which should not be dispensed with. PINK and PolyScience guarantee all processes from their own development, thus freeing customers from the risk of a bad investment.

What is low pressure plasma?
The gentle power of the fourth aggregate state
Matter changes its appearance at certain temperatures. The three “core” states of matter are solid, liquid, and gas, but there is another state – plasma – which is an ionized form of a gas and regarded as the “fourth state of matter.” The difference between neutral gas and plasma is the latter’s significantly higher electrical conductivity and chemical reactivity.
Low-pressure plasma - energy without heat
At atmospheric pressure, plasma is very hot and manifests in mediums such as flames and arc discharges. However, if the pressure is reduced to, say, 100 Pa, then plasma can be generated at lower temperatures. This results in so-called “cold plasma” – or, more precisely, a “non-thermal plasma.”
During treatment with low-pressure plasma, the material to be treated receives insignificant heat since the gas has a very low temperature. However, the energy of the electrons corresponds to a temperature of several thousand K. This advantage makes it possible to safely treat plastics or other temperature-sensitive materials.
